Shaiya update problem

If your having problems upgrading or installing the latest patches in Shaiya, your not alone. There seems to be a problem with the automatic patching utility that is built into the Shaiya game launcher. In many cases the patches will not completely install, leaving the user with a broken game client and no ability to complete the updates to play the game. Luckily there is a method in place that will allow the user to manually download and install the updates or patches.

How to Update and Patch Shaiya manually:

  1. Download and install the FullPatcher.exe
  2. Navigate to C:/Patch
  3. Open the “Shortcut to hosts” file using notepad and add the following to the end of the file:

    4. 127.0.0.1 shaiya.patch.aeriagames.com

  4. Save the file and go launch Shaiya.. (let it perform the updates, but do not start the game)

    5. Shaiya Update

  5. Now from the C:/Patch folder open the “Shortcut to hosts” file again and put a # in front of the line that was added in step 3. See the example below:

    6. #127.0.0.1 shaiya.patch.aeriagames.com

  6. Launch Shaiya again and proceed to start the game

    7. Start Shaiya
