Ferentus 2008 – Ferentus Returns – NOT
As we all know, Ferentus has been gone for a long time now. Many of it’s followings like Xiones, and Herrcot are gone as well. So will Ferentus ever return? Well we have received all kinds of emails and comments regarding it’s return. However, after looking into each of these responses, we have come to the conclusion that Ferentus simply isn’t going to return.
Yes, there are claims out there that others are bringing Ferentus back. However, even if this was going to happen, there would be legal disputes. A group called Eownage has made the claim that they are bringing Ferentus back. They claim they are working with NaonTech to gain rights to release the game. However, there is no proof of this. If this information was valid, we would definitely see some means of proof to validate the subject (I.E Transcripts of the communication between Eownage and NaonTech).
So to provide a followup to all of the comments and email responses regarding the return of Ferentus. I have researched your submissions and have come to the conclusion that there is no proof of Ferentus returning. There will most likely be no Ferentus 2008. Even though we know nothing can entirely replace Ferentus, we have received a lot of good alternate game suggestions.
